Trump Taps Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions For U.S. Attorney General

It’s Friday, a week and a half after the election and The Donald is making several key appointments today. Despite all the hooplah about his transition, he’s actually on par time-wise with how other transitions have played out. One of those key appointments is Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions to U.S. Attorney General.

Sessions was the first Senator to endorse Trump. He has a bit of a controversial past, having been denied judgeship in the 80s because of some racisty stuff.

Also, not a huge Roe v Wade guy.

Also, not a big immigration guy.

If you want to know more, there’s a pretty good list here of the top things to know. Trump’s also making a bunch of crucial national security appointments and such today — we’ll take a stroll through those in more detail on Monday.

For now, that’s Jeff Sessions, United States Attorney General. As is tradition, many people will be pissed and many people will be thrilled. Thus goes politics.
